Chef Jack Standen

Meet Fork Head Chef, Jack Standen - who brings his passion for locally produced food to your table.

⁠Raised in a family of food lovers, he developed his love for cooking as his Dad’s Sous Chef during his Dad’s frequent and popular dinner parties, leading into his early career at the Ledbury and later the Lansdowne.

Fast forwarding to today, Jack joined us in 2022 as Sous Chef, and has worked up to now passionately leading the team as Head Chef.

Not only is Jack a devoted chef, but he's also a father of two, has a nut allergy, enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, and loves a classic Sunday roast (his Mum’s is still his favourite).

Midweek Special Dinner Menu

In addition to our full menu, we offer a midweek special dinner menu that features some of Fork’s favourite dishes.

Our midweek special menu changes regularly as the seasons progress, always featuring local produce from our trusted suppliers for a real taste of Sussex.

Two courses £32 available Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm.

From Tuesday the 12th of November, we invite you to join us in celebrating the most wonderful time of the year with our special seasonal menus.

Head Chef Jack and his wonderful team are excited to celebrate the festive season with you, tantalising your taste buds with their culinary creations, special desserts, and fabulous cocktails, including the much-loved Mulled Bellini.
